Rockstar has not announced official GTA 6 unlock times. The most concrete signal comes from the PlayStation Store listing, which indicates the game unlocks at midnight in each time zone on November 19, 2026. The table below shows what that midnight-local scenario means around the world — treat it as a planning scenario, not a confirmed schedule, until Rockstar publishes one.

Scenario assumes a midnight-local unlock on November 19, 2026, per the PlayStation Store listing. Daylight-saving rules above reflect November dates. Rockstar has not confirmed this schedule.
Why time zones matter
If the unlock is midnight local time, players east of Greenwich — Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore — get in hours before Los Angeles on the UTC clock, even though everyone starts at “November 19.” If Rockstar instead chooses a single global moment, everyone unlocks simultaneously and the table above does not apply. Until the official schedule lands, pre-loading on November 12 is the one timing move that helps in every scenario.
What could change this
Rockstar could still announce a unified global unlock, rolling midnight unlocks per region, or a pre-load-only window with a later unlock. We will update this page when an official schedule is published — check our GTA 6 news for the announcement.
How to confirm your exact unlock time
On November 19, your console’s store page is the source of truth: it shows a countdown or unlock time for your account region. Check it on the morning of the 19th rather than trusting third-party countdowns, which guess. Our GTA 6 countdown tracks the announced date — not the store unlock moment.
Planning around an unconfirmed schedule
Because no official schedule exists, avoid booking anything unmissable for the exact midnight hour. The robust plan: pre-load on November 12, keep the evening of the 19th free, and treat any “leaked unlock time” posts as rumor until Rockstar or your store page confirms them.
Frequently asked questions
What time does GTA 6 unlock?
Rockstar has not announced official unlock times. The PlayStation Store listing points to midnight local time on November 19, 2026 — unconfirmed until Rockstar publishes a schedule.
Does GTA 6 unlock at the same moment worldwide?
Unknown. Midnight-local unlocks mean different UTC times per region; a global simultaneous unlock would mean one shared moment. Neither is confirmed.
Can I change my console region to play early?
Your account region generally controls unlock timing, not just the console clock — and region-hopping risks store and payment issues. Pre-loading on November 12 is the safe preparation.
When can I pre-load?
November 12, 2026 for digital pre-orders and redeemed boxed codes. See our pre-load guide.
