What this means
- Two days before launch, Rockstar would be stamping GTA 6 branding onto Discord — the hangout of choice for its player base.
- A Discord Quest could mean free cosmetic rewards — worth watching Discord's Quests tab if the promo goes live.
- Nitro keeping the theme until February 2027 suggests a paid-player retention play, not a one-week splash.
Key facts
- Reported: October 7, 2026 — Wumpus Central via AltChar, Notebookcheck, Sportskeeda
- Claimed window: November 17 to December 8, 2026 — launching two days before GTA 6's November 19 release
- Customizations: GTA 6-themed app icon, platform theme, display-name font; Nitro subscribers reportedly keep them until February 2027
- Bonus: an unlisted Discord Quest mentioned in the leak — no details on tasks or rewards
Discord could be getting a GTA 6 makeover just before the game launches. Datamined references found in Discord's client files mention a time-limited GTA 6 collaboration, highlighted by Discord leaker Wumpus Central on October 7, 2026.
According to the reports, the promotion would start on November 17 — two days before GTA 6's November 19 launch — and run until December 8. During the event, users would be able to reskin parts of Discord with GTA 6-themed customization: a new app icon, a platform theme, and a custom display-name font.
Discord Nitro subscribers reportedly keep the customizations longer — until February 2027. The leak also mentions an unlisted Discord Quest that could be active during the promotional period, though there are no details on what completing it would reward.
Neither Rockstar Games nor Discord has formally confirmed a collaboration. Until either company announces it, this stays a rumor — but the specifics (dates, assets, Nitro retention window) suggest datamined files rather than speculation.
