What this means
- A personal email answered by an actual executive — not an automated reply — says something about how Rockstar handles its most passionate fans this close to launch.
- Don't take this as an invitation to spam Rockstar's inbox: the fan themselves blurred the executive's name and asked others not to flood it. One-off kindness, not a policy.
- Healthy skepticism is warranted — some Reddit users called it fake and the unboxing video is still pending — but the details (DHL label, dated reply) give the story real weight.
Key facts
- Who: a GTA 6 fan in São Paulo, Brazil, who shared the story on Reddit
- What: an official GTA 6 poster featuring the key art with Jason and Lucia, shipped by DHL from Rockstar's New York office — unsigned
- When: the executive's reply came on August 13, 2026; reported by IGN on Oct 9 and Dexerto on Oct 10, 2026
- Catch: the fan asked for a signed poster but the executive declined — "I'm not the creator, I'm just an executive at the company"
A GTA 6 fan in São Paulo, Brazil says Rockstar Games shipped them an official poster — just because they emailed the studio and asked nicely. The fan shared the story on Reddit, calling the email "a complete shot in the dark."
In the message, they explained they had bought the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition with the first paycheck from their new job, and asked whether Rockstar could send a signed poster for their bedroom wall. The reply came on August 13 from a company executive: "We'll be happy to send you a poster once they are produced." There was one catch — no signature. "I can't sign it because I'm not the creator," the executive explained. "I'm just an executive at the company."
The poster later arrived by DHL, with the shipping label showing it was sent from Rockstar's office in New York. It features the GTA 6 key art, including Jason and Lucia.
Not everyone was convinced. Some Reddit users called the story fake, doubting that an executive would personally answer fan mail. The fan pushed back, saying an unboxing video is on the way once it's edited: "I don't have anything to gain lying about this," they wrote. "Honestly, I still can't even believe this actually happened myself." Others in the thread have since claimed the same approach worked for them too.
