What this means

  • Rockstar is marketing GTA 6 like a blockbuster film release — real-world stunts in Miami put the game in front of people who don't read gaming sites.
  • A drivable Coquette D10 and Cheetah on real streets is catnip for car culture, and the VCPD Lamborghini with a working siren is built to go viral.
  • With the Heat's Vice City night on November 18, expect the real-world blitz to peak on launch eve — Miami is now the game's second stage.

Key facts

  • When: October 16, 2026 — spotted driving through Miami
  • Cars: real-life Coquette D10, Manana, Cheetah, Tempesta, plus a VCPD Lamborghini with Vice City logos and a working siren
  • Extras: Leonida license plates on the convoy; Goodyear blimp with Vice City branding overhead
  • Next: Miami Heat “A Night in Vice City” on November 18; game launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Rockstar Games is taking its Grand Theft Auto VI marketing to the streets of Miami — literally. On October 16, videos and photos shared across social media showed a convoy of real-life cars styled after vehicles from the GTA universe driving through the city, all wearing GTA 6 branding, Leonida license plates and Vice City liveries.

The lineup included real-life versions of the Coquette D10, the Manana, the Cheetah and the Tempesta — cars that appear across the series and in GTA 6. The group also featured a VCPD Lamborghini decked out with Vice City logos and, according to onlookers, a working siren. The cars were spotted stopping at a gas station, where fans got a close look at the details.

Overhead, a Goodyear blimp carrying Vice City branding flew above the city at the same time — a second airborne marker of the campaign. It is the latest in a string of real-world takeovers: the city of Miami Beach has already partnered with Rockstar on GTA 6 branding around town.

The push continues into November. On November 18, the Miami Heat host “A Night in Vice City” against the Milwaukee Bucks, with players wearing Vice City uniforms — one night before Grand Theft Auto VI launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
