What this means
- At five times the $79.99 Standard edition, this box is for collectors — not players. You'll still need to buy the game on top.
- The Macca the Gator branding confirms the in-universe TV show is a major Leonida fixture, not a throwaway gag.
- Limited to one per customer with paid shipping, expect fast sellouts and a resale market — past Rockstar merch boxes behaved the same way.
Key facts
- When: September 24, 2026 — pre-orders opened on the Rockstar Store
- Source: Rockstar Games (Rockstar Newswire + Rockstar Store listing)
- What's new: $399.99 / £349.99 collector's box, 11 items, no game included, ships November 19
Rockstar Games has opened pre-orders for the Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection — a premium collector's box priced at $399.99. There is one rather important thing missing from it: Grand Theft Auto VI.
Rockstar's own store page states it plainly: the game is sold separately. No disc, no download code — the $399.99 buys eleven pieces of Leonida-themed merchandise, built around Macca the Gator, the star of Leonida's fictional hit TV show. The centerpiece is a 6-inch Macca figure with a stash compartment in its base.
The rest of the box: Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, a Macca magnetic mirror, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, a Vice City swizzle spoon, a razor-blade-style keychain, nine enamel pins in a metal tin, stickers in a stash bag, and a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida on the back. The box measures 19 x 13.5 x 12.5 inches and is marketed as an adult collectible.
The terms are strict: limited to one per customer, while supplies last, no free shipping, and nothing ships before November 19 — the day the game launches. UK pricing is £349.99. Reaction from fans has been largely bemused or critical over paying $400 for merchandise without the game, echoing Rockstar's past practice of separate merch-only companion boxes.
